In 2019, Fawohodze's Library and Homework Support Project, an after-school initiative, was warmly welcomed by the Galaxy School Complex. Located in a rural area in the Central Region, this private school serves children from low-income families, offering them improved educational opportunities.
Recognizing the need for after-school activities, Fawohodze generously provided the school with regimental instruments. The official launch of our program took place on January 10, 2020, attended by the founder of Fawohodze, Cynthia Obleton. Over 300 children and 100 parents joined us for the launch, where we unveiled the regimental instruments amidst cadet displays, cultural dances, and poetry recitations. On this day, all attendees were also provided with a meal.
However, not long after our founder's return to the USA, the COVID-19 pandemic struck worldwide. Swiftly responding to the crisis, Fawohodze initiated a distance learning program for all 300 students. Learning materials were delivered to their respective homes thrice a week, ensuring uninterrupted learning during these challenging times.
This project, wholly sponsored by our founder for over a year, provided substantial help to the children and their families. As we move forward, we're calling on our readers and supporters to contribute to this project. Your financial donations, clothing or school supply donations, or even your valuable time can make a significant difference. Support us in transforming lives and shaping futures!
